Q: Nissan Murano?
I’m looking into purchasing a Nissan Murano can anyone give me some feedback on the vehicle anything will help!!!

A: I would recommend that you stay away from Nissan and go out and buy a Honda Pilot. It will give you all of the power, performance, and reliability that you will need out of an SUV.

Q: How long has the Nissan Murano been in production and when do you think a new body style will showcase?
I would like to know how long has Nissan been making the Murano and the longevity of it and possible resale value and how often do they change the body style and when is a new body style expected to be out? If possible are there any websites were I can see some older photos of past Muranos? Any kind of help would be great! I am looking into possibly purchasing a Murano in the near future but I want to make sure I have as much information as possible. Any information concernign the Murano would be greatly appreciated! Thanks =)

A: It has been out since 2003 and they made minor changes in 2006. This is Nissans official site about the vehicle.

Q: How do I use the navigation in a Nissan Murano?
I have a NIssan Murano as a courtesy car for the next few days. It has navigation, but I cannot figure out how to use it. If I touch the screen nothing happens and I can’t get it to the navigation menu. It just stays on radio. Does anyone have this vehicle or know how to use it?

A: You have to make sure that the vehicle really does come with Navigation because ALL Muranos come standard with a 7″ screen. If it is all orange L.E.D’s, then you DONT have Navigation.

If you have a color screen, then you might possibly have a new Murano with or without Navigation.

The only way to tell if you have Navigation is whenever you start the vehicle up, if there is a Warning “Do not operate Navigation while Driving”…..then yes you have Navigation. And should have a MAP button. Press that or DEST to enter in your destination.

From the sound of things, i really doubt you have the Navigation but rather just the standard 7″ screen that displays Navigation. If you figure you really have the Navi, type another question and ill go further with this.

Q: How do i manualy scan the sirius channels on my 2007 Nissan Murano?
I installed the factory sirius module in my 2007 Nissan Murano SE. I was able to scan each channel with the steering wheel controls. But when I added presets it only goes to that preset. Is there a way to have it go through each channel?

A: As far as I know, the steering wheel controls will just do the presets. You have to use the tuning knob on the head unit itself to scan each channel.

Q: What is the difference between an 06 nissan murano S and an SL?
I am looking to buy a new car and have narrowed it down to a Nissan Murano, but I can’t tell the difference between the S and SL models

so i need to know what the difference is or if you’ve heard anything about this model

A: It doesn’t matter what year the Murano is: the general rule is SL models have more upgraded accessories than the S model.

Q: How much should I offer the car dealer for a used 2009 Nissan Murano?
I live in the SF Bay Area. A local dealer is offering a used 2009 Nissan Murano S with 15,842 miles on it for $20,990. Thats the offer price. I want to know what my target price should be when I go in to negotiate. Obviously I don’t want to pay the listed price but I don’t know what a fair price would actually be. Can anyone help?

A: yes go on KBB.COM
and see what the trtade-in value of the same car is with the same amount of miles
thats what u want to pay for it.
actually offer them 2,000 less
and work your way up from there
dont pay any more than the trade in value for it.
they get them about 5,000 less then the trade in value at the special auctions
and right now they want your money since the sales are very weak they may take what you offer them
if they dont take it tell them thats all you can afford
turn around and walk away
and tell them that it seems like you guys dont want to seel this car and that you would make more money if they just keep.
then you get there attention give them your name and phone number and let them know to call you when they want to sell it to you for that price

Q: Where can I find Steering Wheel radio controls to install in my 2009 Nissan Murano?
I recently leased a 2009 Nissan Murano S and it does not have the steering wheel radio controls feature. I had this in my last car and it is something I am missing a lot. It looks like they made it rather simple to install the controls but I cannot find them ANYWHERE. Any suggestions?

A: seems like it would be a dealer item. if they don’t have them they probably aren’t available

Q: Would insurance for jaquar be more expensive than a nissan murano?

Q: Is the current Nissan Murano going to get redesigned anytime soon?
ok, my mom wants to buy a nissan murano but is afraid that if she buys it, in one or twos years the car is going to look old. I was just wondering because the murano has had the same style since 04 and might get a redesign.

A: You are correct. The next Nissan SUV crossover the Rogue is due out soon! The 2003 to 2008 Murano is five years old and is looking a little old now. Keep an eye at Japan because that is where the Next Murano is comming from.

Q: Is the 2011 Ford Edge worth waiting for, or should I buy a 2010 Nissan Murano?
We are expecting our second child in January and I want to get a crossover vehicle. I like the styling of the Edge, but research shows that a model upgrade is due in 2011. I also like the Nissan Murano, but I am worried that next year will be a big leap forward in auto technology.

A: The Murano will ALWAYS be worth more than the Edge. The residual value of the Murano is 10 times better than that of the Edge. Even when you have over 100k on your Murano it will still hold great value. Once you get over 100k on the Edge, the value drops tremendously. So just think of the future and if you ever are going to be selling or trading in your vehicle, go with the Murano. And as far as the vehicle goes, the Murano is a MUCH better vehicle all the way around.

Q: What is the Difference between a Nissan Murano S, SL,and SE?
I wan’t to know the difference between a S, SL , and SE Nissan Murano.
Thank You

A: The S is the base model, SL is medium level and SE is the highest end model. An SL has more options as part of its standard package, plus it gives you wood grain finish.

You have to weigh what opytions you have to have against the base price of the different levels. A Murano is well equipped even at the S level, so if you don’t have to have leather, power, heated seats you can save a lot of money.

Q: why my nissan murano lost all power, wouldn’t start, but then started right up 20 minutes later.?
nissan murano just died going down freeway. wouldn’t start for 20 minutes or so. tried to start it again and it fired right up.that was a week ago and it is still running great. whats up with that?

A: it got hunted!
