Ok so i know that this is a really new car. But does anyone know if they have had any mechanical problems with it yet. Once again i understand that its really new. However when the new grand caravans came out some of them had problems right away. So if anyone know of any recalls or any mechanical problems with the dodge jounrney please let me know. Thanks

Q: What do You know about the new Dodge Journey?
Me and my husband are waiting on our loan for the new dodge journey. I was just wandering if anyone has this car and what they think of it. Do you think it looks like a mini van? Thanks for you opinions!
A: I am also looking at a Journey. It appears to be a very practical vehicles, presently the pricing on it made me consider purchasing one. It was either the Journey or the Volvo XC60. However the price of the fully loaded Journey AWD RT is 5k less than the Volvo.
I feel the quality of the Volvo is better, the T6 is more power full and fuel efficient. And the Volvo seems slightly larger.
The Dodge however has all those little storage bins, 7 seats, and 5k less with all the options. It is a tough decision. I am relying upon the Dodge relations ship in the Journeys design with it’s once partner MB. the 3.5L and 6 spd trany are MD designs and hopefully the QC is still there.
But as far as bang for the buck I do not see where you can get more.
Q: Do i need to a screen for the dvd player in my sterio dodge journey 2009?
I bought a 2009 dodge journey in the sterio it says it has a dvd player. I need to know will i just need to buy a screen or why is that on there?
A: you really need to read up in the owners manual on that one,it has features your probably not aware of,it should have the screen already installed in it,good luck

A: Sara, you have two options. Sell it or trade it in.
The tough part will be getting past the negative equity gap. The first thing you need to do is determine the wholesale value of the car. You already have your loan payoff amount. Do some online research and figure out what the car is worth. The difference between what it’s worth and what you owe is the amount of money you’ll need to come up with to get out from under the car. If you don’t have a lot of cash you wont be able to make this work.
Q: Can I add third row seating to a dodge journey SE?
Recently I purchased a 2009 dodge journey SE.Is it possible to install a third row seats?How much will it cost?
A: It is not possible, and I will tell you why.
1) It is not available as an add on, since most who purchase this vehicle would not add on seats they would purchase vehicle with that option.
2) The seats would have to be built out of pieces(ie seat back, seat botton, seat frame, ect), and the cost would not be too expensive. Like close to $1000.00
3) The vehicle is too new to obtain seats from a crashed, or totalled vehicle
4) Seats are only offered as pieces, because for warranty purposes you would never need entire assemblies
Q: Does the 2009 Dodge Journey SE come standard with booster seats?
I am interested in the Dodge Journey because of the space and safety features. I saw that they have booster seats in the 2nd row that just lift up. which is genius to me!
does anyone know if these come standard with the SE model?
Also, anyone that has used them, what is your opinion on the seats? comfortable for the kids? worth the extra money if it doesn’t come standard?

A: if you just took over the payments on it then basically its your vehicle now,i wouldn’t trust anyone when it comes down to a large sum of money like that,if your going to be paying for it then you take the vehicle and drive it and have it in your name,not hers,good luck.

Q: How come Dodge Journey only has two type of engine available?
When the Chrysler first introduce the Journey. There are three engine choices, a 2.4L four-cylinder , a 2.7L FFV V6, and a 3.5L V6 available in U.S. and Canada. Now I don’t see any newspaper or magazine articals mention anything about the 2.7 V6 engine available in N.A. Is it not available in N.A.?

Q: Why is my 2009 Dodge Journey have a light blue smoke coming out of the tail pipe when I start it up?
Is this normal for new cars to have this happen? It’s very light blue and it only happens when the engine is cold. Do I have reason for concern?
A: This is a new vehicle still under warranty. It should not smoke, despite what some others think. I have had numerous new vehicles and have never had an issue like you describe. The dealership needs to fix the problem. There is a possibility that what you see is condensation which would be normal but it would be best to have it checked at your dealer. That way if they say it is ok and something does happen, you will have it on the vehicle’s service record.
Q: Where can I get a Chrysler Video Entertainment System (VES) manual for a Dodge Journey?
I need to know how to operate my VES and also what items are to come with the VES when you purchase a new Dodge with this option. For example, remote control, headphones.

Q: How much should I pay for a new 2008 Dodge Journey?
I have never bought a new car and the dealership I went to lower the price from 24,000 to 21,000. This was after the $2000 rebate from the company. The dealer ship only took off $1000. Do you think this is all they can take off the car is $1000 or are they just saying that?
A: They are just saying that. There is enough room in the mark-up for them to move at least another $725. Shop around and you’ll be sure to find a much better price.
Q: how can i change the temperature from celsius to fahrenheit in my 2009 dodge journey?
i just got this new car and didn’t exactly know how to turn on the a/c and then before i knew it my temperature reading was in celsius. i looked in the cars manual and still couldnt find how to change it back. help, please?
A: there’s a button on the control center just mash in on it and it will change it back ,it also does tell about this in the owners manual,but they aren’t real clear on some of the things they describe,good luck.
