A: If its the factory unit, look at the face of the unit and there should be 2 tiny little buttons (holes) on the front. One has an H (hours) next to it and one has an M (minutes). Use a paper clip or a pen and adjust the time.

A: I actually sell new dodge’s and the avenger is awesome, a very popular new car, it definately beats out the competitors in the mid-size car market and has the looks to back it up, someone before was worng when they said to get the hemi, it isn’t offered in the avenger, it has been called the mini charger but the R/T is a 3.5 v6, but has a nice pep to it, and you can’t beat Dodge’s new LIFETIME powertrain warranty on top of the 3 year 36k bumper to bumper. any more questions just ask me!

A: that’s the light for the air pressure monitors on the tires,most of the time those read off,so adding a few pounds may make it go off for a short while but they will eventually come back on again,check all the tires and make sure their all up to the proper amount,and do it with tires cold and it hasn’t been drove for a while other wise the light may come right back on again,good luck.

A: Look here and select your engine(4 or 6 cylinder) and transmission. (auto or manual) It should list all the replacement vehicles.

2000 dodge avenger 2.5 V6 blower fan runs when key is out and car is off runs battery down i dont know if its a relay switch a fuse or the brain is bad anyone know what it might be thanks
A: Most likely it’s the relay. They get build up on the contacts and then it sticks.
Try tapping on it to see if the fan shuts off. Or see if there is another relay in there that is EXACTLY the same and temporarily swap them to see if that helps.
If none of that works see if the fan stays on when the relay is removed. If so we need to dig deeper.

i’ve been looking for a strut bar for my 1997 dodge avenger but i can find any. however sombody told me that the Mitsubishi eclipse strut bar could fit in a dodge avenger so i just want to make sure.
A: It may fit, as the two are on very similar platforms, made in the same factory.
Your best bet is to measure your Avenger carefully, and ask dealers/manufacturers if the Eclipse bar will fit. Alternately, find a dealer with one in stock, and measure it your self. If it is a decent dealer, they will let you take the bar over to your car to eye-ball it before purchasing.

A: Dodge Avenger is a cool car for the years produced. I wouldn’t do the four banger though, not enough power for the weight of the car. Find a six, and it’ll be a good car. Depending on price of course. You should be able to get them cheap though.

A: you go by the diagram ,its usually on a sticker on the front of the vehicle somewhere,i always use that if i don’t have a manual on it,it will be accurate for your car,if the sticker is still there,good luck.

A: its going to cost you more than the car is worth,if you go used with it ,around 500 bucks, if you go rebuilt your looking at about 1500.00 bucks and that’s with a limited warranty on it,and id think that’s more than their asking for the car,i passed on one because it had a bad transmission in it ,their nice cars but very expensive to repair and keep up once they get high mileage on them,think about it before you buy it,you may be buying a money pit instead of a car to drive it will be a car to work on all the time,good luck.

A: This is not covered under warranty so the dealer will charge you to have the car towed in and repaired. Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship on the vehicle, not the actions of mentally defective friends.
Check to see if the starter relay is connected. That would be the most common way to disable the starter.
The other choice is to pay to have it towed in and repaired, and to sue your friend for the bill.
