Q: Is the Buick Lacrosse good for driving in snowy and icy conditions?
Is the Buick Lacrosse good for driving in snowy and icy conditions?
A: It is all in having proper winter tires, and learning how to drive. AWD and 4WD are nice, but, seriously, they give a false sense of security, which is why they are the first ones spotted in the ditch every winter.
Whatever you drive, get a set of winter tires, and take a winter driving course. The Lacrosse, driven properly, with proper tires, will be a fine winter car.
Take it from me, I have lived in winter cities all my live, 44 years of driving experience, both RWD and FWD cars, proper training, and the right tires for conditions, and I have never had a problem.
Note, fresh, virgin ice, such as occurs with freezing rain, and anything short of a slow-moving tank is dangerous.
Q: How to get around a 2005 Buick lacrosse trunk release failure?
I have a 2005 buick lacrosse for some reason the trunk will not open with the remote. It is a keyless trunk so I use the other trunk release button that is in the car and it still wont open. And it looks like there is no manual release button in the car either; I am stumped. Does anyone know if there is a way to open the trunk manually? thanks.
A: You should be able to open it with the key, if it won’t open with the key the linkage could be broken or disconnected. You could also have a bad lock actuator.
Q: How much would it cost to replace/fix a door handle on an 08 Buick Lacrosse?
The damn valet broke the driver’s side door handle on my dad’s 08 Buick Lacrosse. It is hanging down. He said its definitely a job for the dealer. If he is going to get it fixed, approximately how much would this cost. Of course the best estimate would come from somebody who actually works for Buick or another part of GM. Thanks.
A: Take the cost you find online and times it by two. Dealers rip you off.

Q: 2007 Buick Lacrosse make water slushing sound when turning corners?
when turning corners a sound like water slushing around can be heard in 2007 Buick Lacrosse. Took it to oil change shop, and supposedly they filled all the fluids. Any ideas what this sound could be?
A: Sounds like your condensation pan is not draining. There is a tube that comes out of the firewall on the passenger side that gets clogged sometimes. Take a piece of wire of some kind, get under the passenger side and locate the drain tube, stick the wire up into it and clear the clog.
Q: I have a Buick LaCrosse-2006–it has leather seats-where could I get NICE comfortablecloth seat covers-please?
I would love to get some comfortable cloth seat covers for my Buick LaCrosse. Sorry, this is crazy–but–I thought I could really get into leather seats-I was wrong. I understand I am not the only one that feels like that. I would appreciate all the help I could get–thank you much.
A: www.seatcoverman.com They have 1/2 inch cushion according to the website and good looking cotton seat covers that should fit.
Q: How many miles in a Buick Lacrosse?
Does anyone know about how many miles a Buick Lacrosse would get on a full tank of gas? On highway driving?
Thanks for any answers!
A: Olivia Please post the year and model of your Lacrosse. From 2005-2010 they have used different engines and drive lines in there CX-CXL and CXS models. This info from you will allow me to give you a really close estimate on your fuel range question.Best of luck.
Q: How to make Buick Lacrosse CXL 05′ Faster?
I wanna make my buick Lacrosse cxl 05 faster.. i have been reading on the web that i can get a cold air intake, better stall converters, and a new exhaust pipe. But I cannot find a site that sells them for my car, are there parts that are simlilar to my car that i can use? or can someone just point me in the right direction plz?…..thx
A: Best to find a place that specializes in FWD Gm cars. They can be made fast but you’re at a disadvantage because you don’t have the S/C 3.8L or the 5.3L V8. Jimmy you’re stupid. It’s funny in fact that a Lacrosse super in the 1/4 Mile is almost as fast if not faster. Most of the FWD v8 GM cars will go high 13s. Most New Mustang GTs have a hard time accomplishing that.
Q: I want to know if oil burning is usual in my 2007 Buick LaCrosse?
I seem to use a quart of oil every 2,000 miles or so in my Buick. It is under warranty still, the dealer says this is normal. I have had other cars that didn’t use a drop of oil?
A: 1 quart in 1000 is considered normal by gm
Q: How do I install new cd player in 2005 Buick Lacrosse?
Everyone says it can’t be done. I have tried Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry’s, and couldn’t find anything compatible from Crutchfield either.
A: we did it it was not easy but it works some kid got the car from his grandfather and the only change a new radio
we remove the radio took the face off and mount the factory radio in the trunk no face there is a total of 5 wires you have to extend them we cut the face the size of the new radio but because of the factory buttons and the cd slot and eject button we have to cut a lot more them we use the trim of new pioneer radio glue it in the middle and add bondo to cover the extra gaps , sand it a lot and sand all around the square plastic about 5 mm on all 4 sides when it was done it was vinal wrap in black and install bac in the car with the new head unit
it is possible just find a good custom shop this radio installation cost him 300.00 and 5 hours of work
Q: How do you change the fuel filter on a 2005 Buick Lacrosse?
My car starts and then shuts off, I thought it might be the fuel filter but I have found out that there is a TSB for this same problem. What can you do about a TSB?
A: the gas filter is back by the back tire on the drivers side. take 2 line wrenches and remove the filter, but release the pressure first.
Q: Does the 07 Buick Lacrosse contain RCA jacks on the backside of the factory installed radio?
I would like to hook up my IPOD touch to my factory installed car stereo.
A: It doesn’t have rca inputs but you can use this adapter
Q: Has anybody had a chance to take the new Buick Lacrosse out for a spin yet?
Preferably the CXS trim, but the CXL and the CX trims will do. What do you like about it and what do you hate about it? What have you heard about the reliability on them even though they’re fairly new? Resale value?
A: No. I have a ‘69 Camaro SS. (lmao because I really do)
But seriously, I really, really like the Buick’s. I think they have some striking body styles. I wish they could pull off another Grand National some day.
I hope they start to see what makes BMW’s so attractive and that’s wheels and tires sized to fit the car. BMW is not afraid to sell a car with wider wheels in back and 2 different sized tires. GM only does that on…well….the Corvettes.
I think this Regal is totally on par with any BMW plus you can tell it’s an American Buick.

Those are DRAG – DC7 – 22″ rims on Falken Tires
Q: Does anyone have an estimate of what a 2005 Buick Lacrosse’ insurence would be for a 16yr old new driver?
It doesn’t have to be exact, I’m just trying to make a budget.
A: At any rate, you will be better off being insured under your parent(s)’ insurance policy.
Since you are only 16, you will not be able to have your own policy since you are too young to sign a contract – and an insurance policy IS a contract.
Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!
